Using Target Keywords in SEO Manager
In this article
What are Keywords?
Keywords are the words and phrases that people use to find your site in search engines like Google and Bing.
What are Target Keywords?
A target keyword is one word or phrase that best summarizes your page. This is what you hope people will type into a search engine to find the page. The "Target Keyword" portion of SEO Manager will check your content to make sure you have included the word or phrase that is most important for that page.
There are many ways to do keyword research. One of the easiest ways is through Google Trends, which you can access from SEO Manager:
In the SEO Manager app, go to Edit SEO:
Access the SEO edit page for the page you wish to edit, e.g. Product > select a product to edit SEO:
In the Trends box, click Google keyword trends:
This will open a new window that will allow you to type in a keyword. The tool will return other related keywords based on the text you entered.
The tool is powered by Google and provides live feedback of actual search queries people are using related to the text you entered. This is a great way to discover Target Keywords that you might not be aware of.
